"Eleven years ago a little girl was born. She had the most beautiful black hair and lopsided grin. One day, without warning, I saw a young lady where that tiny child had once lain.
I have captured first steps and first days at school.
I have captured tears of sadness and tears of joy.
I have frozen moments in time....
Sometimes, if I'm quick enough, I can even capture that instant where dreams and fantasies are visible behind the eyes.
And that helps. Because that young lady will, one day, far too soon, leave my side.
And then all I'll have left is the photo album on my bedside table."
